The “Moving Wall” Vietnam War Memorial Set to Return to Pahrump During 2016 Fall Festival
PAHRUMP, Nev. (Aug. 30, 2016) – For the first time in more than a decade, “The Moving Wall” Vietnam War Memorial will make an appearance in Pahrump, Nevada during the Fall Festival, September 22 to September 25.
The Moving Wall, a replica of Washington D.C.’s well-known Vietnam War Memorial, has been touring the country since 1984, last making a stop in Pahrump in 2002. Created as a half-scale duplicate of one of the most stirring monuments in our nation’s capital, The Moving Wall brings the famous memorial to communities all over the U.S. on a touring schedule. Those who have wished to see the memorial, but who have been unable to travel to Washington D.C., will now have an opportunity to experience its impact during Pahrump’s Fall Festival.
As for the festival itself, this year’s offers all of the community’s favorites returning for another outing. Fun-seekers can expect a variety of food offerings, a midway packed with games, prizes, vendors, live entertainment, and a timeless carnival atmosphere. And since no Fall Festival midway would be complete without the rides, roller coasters, the Ferris wheel, and thrill-a-minute, white-knuckle attractions will also be on hand to raise everyone’s adrenaline levels.
The fan-favorite Rodeo is back for 2016, as well. Spectators can cheer on their favorites in classic cowboy matchups and events that fun for the whole family. Additionally, the festival will present the famous Saturday parade on Highway 160, featuring more than 50 floats, local dignitaries, the high school marching band, and much more.
